MIIS Programming Language - MIIS is a MUMPS-like programming language developed by Meditech in the 1970s. When many MUMPS implementations standardized to be compatible, MIIS did not standardize, but became a proprietary system instead.
MUMPS - MUMPS (all-caps), or alternatively M, is a programming language that is used for building applications that typically have large and/or complex databases. Its most important and defining characteristic is that the database is very tightly bound to the language.
